Art clubs mission

If you’re a Delaware native or someone who moved to Delaware, you know there’s not much of an open community in regards to art. Not that there's no community because there is. But it's something u need to intentionally search for. Something that's usually hidden behind doors or people or you might have a really good set of circumstances to get there.

Coming from New York, a place filled with creatives and communities that enrich them, then moving to Delaware, a place still filled with creatives, but no real hotspot to really connect. With no way to find like minded individuals with something like college or university. It’s really taken a toll on me creatively.

Imagine a space for adults of all ages to come together, mingle, talk, and create, really build relationships. Who all have a passion for the visual arts in any medium and truly connect in an accessible space. That uplifts and pushes them in their dreams and careers.

This selfish thing that I want for myself is something I also want to bring to so many new people. I’ve always wanted to be a part of an art club where we go to a restaurant or a cafe, a small group of us, where we all bring our sketchbooks and we talk over food and drink, a place to ground each other while we build relationships. Where is that in Delaware? Cause i cant find it.

So my goal for 2026 is to create just that, but not limit it to sketchbooks , restaurants and field trips, even though that’s a big part of it. My Goal is to truly make this grow into something more than intentional hang outs. But always keep that sentiment at its core. If you’re interested, I hope to see you there.
